Transforming the Way We Work

Experience the wonder of what work can be

If you’ve experienced the discouragement of dysfunctional leaders or the disappointment of struggling to make life better for those you lead, or the harsh realization that the company you created doesn’t have a healthy culture, it is hard to know how to make things better. When our workplace suffocates healthy growth, wonder or joy, it is easy to believe the lie that work is a necessary evil.

Call us crazy, but we believe there’s a better way to work. At Work Wonder, we view work as inherently good—the primary place in our lives where we leverage our unique gifts and abilities to positively impact the world. When we simply work for a paycheck or are stuck in a spiral of unfulfilling job descriptions that drain our energy and deplete our skills, we risk missing out on the joy work was intended to give us.

Discover the wonder of what work can be

Work Wonder was created to help every person find joy in their work by transforming the way we work. We purposefully and strategically pursue this transformation by equipping leaders to build people-first cultures that produce healthy and high-performing organizations.

Throughout Founder Will Spokes’ career, he often found himself face-to-face with the futility and  frustration of work that inevitably follows dysfunctional leadership and destructive culture. Work became a narrative Will wanted to rewrite for anyone who longs for something more.

Since 2019, Will has been on a mission to help leaders and organizations experience joy and fulfilment in their work. His own leadership transformation began when he discovered the world of organizational health while reading The Advantage and The Five Dysfunctions of a Team by Patrick Lencioni. It was as if Will discovered for the first time what he was put on earth to do: help people find joy in their work and do great things together to make the world a better place … and so Work Wonder was born.

For anyone who dares to dream of something greater, join the Work Wonder movement and experience the wonder of what work can be.

Values

Curious

Solving leadership and organizational challenges begins with curiosity. We start by listening and learning with quantitative assessments and qualitative interviews so we can empathize with your pain points and discover your hopes for a better way to work.

We are Curious because there is always more going on underneath the obvious. This holds true for individuals and organizations. We always strive to ask one more question.

Courageous

Change requires honest self-assessment and a willingness to embrace discomfort and conflict on the journey to making something better. Your team and organization will never reach its full potential without the courage to create a better way to work.

We are Courageous because we believe in daring greatly. We stare reality in the face and look for new possibilities on the other side of fear, complexity, and seemingly insurmountable challenges.

Celebratory

We celebrate what makes you uniquely you. Every client interaction and engagement is designed to honor both the individual and the organization. We celebrate your milestones and remind you of your wins. Your success is our success.

We are Celebratory because success should be celebrated just as much as failure should be instructive. We stop, look up, and look around at our progress to call out our wins, even the small ones.
